Last year, St. Rose collected over $1,200 from this program. You can drop Box Tops in a marked envelope in the collection basket at any mass. Diocesan Marian Year
The special diocesan year focused on Mary will hold its closing celebration on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the National Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Visit the diocesan website www.hbgdiocese.org for more information.

Back to School Blessings!
St. Rose of Lima School opens the week of August 30th, as does York Catholic. First Friday mass will be held at the school in Thomasville at 8:30 am on Sept. 3rd. Limited grade openings are still available. Contact Peg Rizzuto, Principal, at 717-792-0889 to learn more. Also, remember that Scrip is available for various shopping needs. We wish all students, teachers and families a blessed new academic year!
Chicken BBQ - Aug 29
The Knights of Columbus will sponsor a chicken barbeque on August 29th after all masses. Enjoy this meal that benefits the outreach efforts of our parish council.
Basket Bingo
St. Rose's Home School Association is sponsoring their annual Basket Bingo Fundraiser on Sunday, September 19 at the Dover Community Center. Religious Education Mailing
An important mailing has been sent to all families registered for religious education classes, which begin September 26, 2010. You can also find the fall newsletter posted under the Religious Education page on our website. If you have any questions or do not receive this information, please contact Sr. Jane at 843-3043.
Mass Location Changes
During the York Fair, Saturday Vigil Masses will be held at the school in Thomasville on September 11 and 18th at 5:00 pm. Please note this change. Sunday masses will be held as regularly scheduled.
York Fair Parking
Our parish is in close proximity to the York Fair. Parking will be available off the Mason Avenue parking lots each evening, Sept. 10-20, for a donation. If you would like to earn service hours and take a shift to supervise parking, please contact Karen at jkmb3@comcast.net.
Volunteers Needed
Planning is also underway for the November 20th parish Christmas Festival. Volunteers are needed to organize the Bingo games and to donate decorated trees and wreaths for the silent auction. See the bulletin for more details or call Bev at 792-5047.
